To keep my spare or not?

I've decided on going with 2 JL Audio 12w3v2-D4's but my next thing to deal with is location. I want to maintain a good amount of  "free space" in my trunk, so these are the two ideas I've come up with.

#1 Build sub enclosure against the back seat and rear deck (with subs firing toward rear of vehicle),with amps mounted on racks on each side of the trunk.

#2 Remove spare tire and use the floor to house the subs(firing up towards the trunk lid), with amps mounted to an amp rack against the back seat.

Would there be any difference in sound with these enclosures (both being sealed) ?

Anyother suggestions for an enclosure/trunk setup in a 88 Grand Am?

Either way will sound about the same. The choice is up to you as far as the location goes. Do you want to loose the spare? It would however look cleaner if you put the subs in the tire well.
