I am trying to put an aftermarket CD player and amp in my 2000 Dodge Ram.  I have everything hooked up, but when I hook up my CD player it plays but I don't get any sound out of the speakers.  I have came to the conclusion that it has a factory amp.  Can anyone give me any advise on how to bypass the factory amp, and where is the factory amp located.

Thanks for the help

It dose have a factory amp. The best way to do it is run new wires from your aftermarket amp directly to your speakers.

I didn't want to power any of my speakers besides my subs for now.  Is there any way that I can bypass the factory amp?  Do you know where the factory amp is located?

Thanks for the help

Use the LIGHT GREEN wire on the black plug on the back of the deck and use the aftermarket CD's remote turn on lead to power the OEM amplifier.
