I've been reading all over the boards and havent really came up with anything. I am new to this forum but not forums overall so i know how the SEARCH function works.
I have an Orion HCCA250, old school with the pop top. It hasnt been used in a very long time and personally i cant remember if it had any problems before it went into storage. When i power it up, just the +/- and remote it turns on like it should but there is a low squealing noise coming from the side near the outputs. I popped the case off and noticed that there are 3 different resistors that look bad, two are severly burnt while the third is partially. Could these resistors be the cause of the squeal or am i missing something else. Obviously the resistors need replaced but i wanted to know if that should be my main concern. I am running 4awg wire and it is grounded correctly as i checked with a multi meter to be sure.

no. chokes (inductors) or transformer windings can produce mechanical noise in the form of a hum.

forgot to mention that the noise is on the output side, the transformers are all on the opposite end from the noise and the burnt resistors
