i am trying to install a sony xplod deck into a tercel, i didnt realize i could buy a wire harness so instead i cut the wires, blew the radio fuse twice, now the interior lights and the head lights are not functioning properly.
would it make sense for me to reconnect the original harness and buy the wiring harness because the deck is still not functioning?

Yes, make sure that you solder your connection and also use electrical tape to protect your connections.
