Hi....I have a basic question:

I have a set of tweeters to install up front with the 2 door speakers.  How should I wire these?  I was going to piggyback them with the front speakers, but won't that mess up the ohms of the front speakers?  I'm not extremely experienced with audio......any tips would be great.

Thanks!

You should be albe to wire them in parrallel to the front speakers.(+ to +)  (- to _).  Tahat should work fine.  Brian

brian is wrong.  The most effective way is to remove headunit and find wires.  They are color coded.  Simply splice wire, twist together, electral tape, and replace.

wether you hook the tweeter to the wires behind the stereo or hook it to the wires at the speaker you are hooking it up the same way.  I meant to hook the wires from the tweeter to the wires at the speaker (+ to +)  and (-  to -). It doesnt matter where you hook them at you are accomplishing the same thing.  I quess its just a matter of preferance.  I am not wrong.  Brian

hehe, yea, that's what I was going to do, but I thought that messed up the "ohms" of the speaker.  I guess not.  The only reason I thought that was from when I was hooking up my subwoofers, and if you hook them up in series or parallel, you get differnent ohms, and my amp couldn't handle a certain number.  I figured it was the same for these speakers.  But yea, I'll just piggyback them (in parallel) by the speaker, as it's easier to get to.  Thanks!

it will change to ohms that your amp sees but I have never had any problem with it when using a tweeter.  If you use a mid woofer it would bother your amp more because of the wattage needed to run the bigger speaker.  i have done it alot  and I seriously dought you will have a problem.  Good luck.
