problem with dimming lights

hi im new to the board i have a 2004 silverado truck with 2 kicker compvr subs hooked up to a 1200 watt hi fonics amp and when the bass hits my lights dim what should i do cap or yellow top optima please help me

you should look at your current power wiring first. It is the easiest to change.
Make sure you have proper gauge power/ground and that you are grounded to bare metal.
Then you could do the 'big 3' upgrade. Any idea of the gauge of your grouding wire from your chasis to the negative terminal of your battery? what size alternator does your car have?
do lights dim when idling? driving? car off? a/c on?
