I recently bought a Kicker Sub, Pioneer Amp (GM-4000F), Pionner Headunit (DEH-P470MP).  I hooked all of these up and only the Subwoofer is working.  The 6 factory speakers do not.

I used a Metra wiring harness, and a second to eliminate that as the problem.

I took an extra speaker from my house and wired it into each speaker output on the Headunit, and got sound from each one.

When I put my factory headunit in, all of the speakers work fine.

I have wired and rewired the speaker wires.  I'm sure they are matched up properly.

Is there something about the factory speakers that won't allow them to work with aftermarket HUs?

Seems like this would be a typical problem but Ive searched the web with no luck.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hook up the blue / white or blue wire on the cd player to the blue wire on the Metra harness. This is the +12v trigger line that should turn on the factory Infinity amplifier.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Ok, the Metra Harness doesnt have a blue or blue/white wire.

There is a red wire labeled 12V ingnition/ACC also a yellow one labeled 12V Batt/Memory.  There is a blue/white wire out from my HU that I have connected directly to the Pioneer Amp.

There are 3 wires from the harness that I am not using...Brown-Phone Mute...Blue-Power Antenna...Orange-Illumination.  I have noticed that the wiring harness does not exactly match the hraness on my jeep.  The Brown-Phone Mute line does not connect to anything, and there is a Yellow-Violet wire in my jeep that I assume is for the steering wheel controls...there is no corresponding wire in the Metra harness...

This is another issue that I d like to get to work, (steering wheel controls)  but now I just want to get the speakers working ;)  Any other suggestions?

You can usually get an interface for around $70 at your local stereo shop.  You will need the Pioneer remote in order to program it, and you have to mount an led in the line of sight of the faceplate.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
