Hello,

I own a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI and I called the dealer to find what weight the speaker are and they could not tell me. Could anyone help me?

How about you remove one and weigh it.

Why do you need to know the weight?

That was my question... Are you sure you want to weigh them? As in: This speaker weighs the same as a 12oz sirloin? To what purpose?
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

if you are that concerned about weight reduction in your car, drive naked.

16 cm. dualcone speakers. Approx 10 oz.magnets, maybe 15 oz. overall. If the theory of 1 tenth of a second reduction in lap times ( 2 mile road course) is true your 3.75 pounds of weight loss will save you .0375 seconds per lap. Go to driving school .

There is no such thing as free installation!

Sorry, claygorman, but we enjoy questions like this from time to time  sti speaker weight -- posted image.

...I'll bet those dealers got a kick out of it too!

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Just go on a diet or only wear a speedo. Either way will negate the extra weight of the factory speakers.
