I want to run Sirius off my Alpine 7892 HU in my boat...what is the best way to connect the S50 to the Alpine 7892?....I'm not too fond of the FM modulator.Seems to loose sound quality in others I have heard....thx

Any way to hardwire?.....

get the alpine auxilary adapter in give you an input option as long as your radio has a cd changer port on it.
it give you a set of rcas and then tells the radio there is another device when pressing source.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Alpine part # KCA-121B. After hooking it up you must go into set up and turn your aux input on. It will be in your owners manual.

just get cable and it will be easy to enter setup to turn aux input on sorry forgot about that before. or go to website and download manual. but its easy.
that cable will allow you to connect an ipod, sirius whatever audio to the radio. a direct link instead of a rf mod.
a local alpine dealer will usually stock this item as it is usally cheap and small to hold in stock.
