ok i have 2 memphis 250 d one memphis 4 channel an epicenter line driver 2 memphis pr subs memphis eq and kenwood basic head unit so my problem is this when i got my eq put in i had engine whine and noise that comes and goes i live in sunny california so whe ever it really hot the noise is there but when im in my car for about 30 minutes driving the noise goes away it starts as a whine and then goes into static but the funny thing is that when i hit/tap my side panel next to my head unit and eq the static goes away as if i was moving the cable and it stops. so basically when its really hot and i first turn on my car its there as a whine and then later is a satic and then i tap the side of my dash and it stops the static and noise. could this be a bad ground or what could it be it all started after i put in the eq please help thanks ohh car is 2006 hyundai tiburon

Sounds like a possible ground loop problem. Not sure how much the heat would affect this. Everytime I encounter whine, it is usually fixed by makeing sure everything has a solid ground. You may want to upgrade the "Big 3" as well. This would help to secure a solid ground.

hello i took it to my local installer and its so funny it was the rca or interconnects im not sure which one he said that was a little bit out of place like if it was pushed out so that caused the noise. ok i have anther question though, if my amps say in the manual that 4 guage power/ground wire is accepted is it still possible to get 0 or 2 guage to fit? what i want to do is run 0 or 2 guage ( jl) from the battery to my dis block and from there seperate everything into 2 guage or 0 guage. thanks for all your help
