Looking for wiring diagrams for 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) with base stereo CD player.
I am trying to install an amp and connect it to the factory CD player.
I need pinout location for rear door speaker, remote, ignition wires. Auxilary input information would be nice.
Thanks
Eric

ok, here you go: This well site will show you the pin outs for the radio  and the amp.

http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_audio_pinouts.htm

There is no ignition behind the radio, the radio and amp are controlled by data(can Bus).  I used the ignition wire at the ignition harness Pink/Lt Green for remote. You cannot use this cars accessory wire for remote, it is negative.  The Pink/Lt green is the only positive.I also fused it with a 1 amp fuse.  Its easy to get to the ignition wires, the panel under the dash is hinged.  it unsnaps from the top and flips down toward the floor, Ignition harness is on the right side.  You can unclip the harness from the key cylinder if you need more slack, but there is a ??blue?? latch you need to release first before you can simply release it.

I also get the speaker wires from behind the radio, I use the top diagram pins 18,19,20, 21.  but you can also get them at the amp in the rear quarter panel(drivers side). the chart on the web page has all the pin outs. If you notice most of them are shaded gray.  You can use any of the White Shaded pins for a Signal. There are White shaded pin outs for behind the radio(I Use), and the Amp.

Radio removal and amp location is here:

Happy wiring :o)
