powered by

Apline 3554

Subs x 2 sealed box

Image Dynamics IDQ12 DV4

powered by

MTX 1500DX class d

all speakers are getting plenty of power I just need help with the crossover points and EQ on the Alpine deck, which uses Alpine I-personalize software. any help would be great.

thanks

unfortunatlly the local shop is run by a friend of mine and they are pretty much just a sell and install shop. not that expirianced it tuning. he currentlly doesn't even have a system in his honda, and has newbie trained installers.

Personally here's what I would use. With your amp gains set correctly ( read the sticky here ) I would set the crossover frequencies on the front hi pass and the subwoofer at 63 hz. I would use a 12 db per octive on the fronts and a 24db per octive on the sub. This will give you some bass imaging up front. I would then set the rear high pass at 80 hz. and 24 db per octive. Then adjust the output level controls so you hear the fronts more then the rears again for front stage imaging. Then measure the distance between the drivers head and all 5 speakers including the subwoofer. Go on to Alpines websight and access the I-Personalize section. Enter the measurements into the time delay section and it will tell you how much delay to put in each speaker. Let us know how it turns out.
There is no such thing as free installation!
