Door speaker bass

ok, i have my subs hooked up so i dont need bass in my door speakers anymore...i dont want bass in my door speakers anymore but when i turn up my music loud and my subs are hitting i cant hear my doorspeakers distorting, my cd player doesnt have a seperate control for the sub and i dont want to spend money on bass blockers what do yall think i need to do?

Get a simple passive crossover for the speakers and cut the frequencies. Or get an electronic active crossover and then you can do the front, rears and the sub all in one unit.Jeff

bass blockers are like $10 a pair....thats gonna be the cheapest way out

turn your bass down a little on your cd player and if you have a good amp with a bass booster then you should have no problem.

Instead of bass blockers you can use 220uf capacitors instead. Same thing but cheaper.

Go for Velocity's advice. Passive or active. Do it right the first time. If you have the means, get an active crossover or an EQ which has dual outputs.
