I have a 1993 dodge Grand Caravan with an Infinity speaker system. A number of years ago the factory installed tape deck stopped working. I purchased a new Jensen (I think) tape deck and was having trouble getting all the speakers to function properly. I recall cutting a few wires by the speakers and everything started working great. After a few more years that tape deck stopped working so I purchased an original chrysler tape deck that was compatible with the original. It also worked fine. Now I purchased (on Ebay) 2 Chrysler tape/cd players and on each one I can't get the frony speakers to work. When I install the non cd player the front speakers work. I am pretty sure that the problem is not with the unit but with the speakers. I still have unconnected cut wires around the speakers but I can't seem to pinpoint the problem. Any ideas?
Thanks

Identify these wires behind the deck. strip 1 pair back. Get a 9v battery and touch the wires to the battery. The speaker "should" pop. Now you know the speaker works. Do this with each speaker.

I usually do the power wires first, as to NOT make an error and create a small fire!speaker problems, 93 grand caravan -- posted image.

Now.... the deck(s) you purchased... they do work, correct? Test the outputs

The front speakers in the Chrysler/Infinity system are amplified. The dark green amp turn on lead needs 12 volts. Also if there is a second ground wire in addition to the braded one it needs to be grounded.
There is no such thing as free installation!
