Hi there,

This is my first post here, so please be patient...

I want to use two SPDT relays to flicker a correspondin break/running light bulb on my bike. My idea is to use to regular turn signal wire to power the coil and then break the common ground to the light bulb with the relay... But I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone maybe help or provide a link to a previous post.

Any help will be very welcome

What are you trying to indicate/ what are you trying to accomplish with this?

I want to indicate left or right turns using the break light bulbs instead of the indicator bulbs !

Does the relay work for starters.

this is a normal starter kill type setup

take the brake wire you want to interupt and cut it in half take one end and connect it to pin 30 of relay and take other end and connect it to pin 87a.

now take the positive turn signal wire and connect it to pin 86 and then pin 85 to ground

pin 87 not used thats it so what happens is when the turn signal goes on and you have the brake pressed it will interupt the signal path your best bet is to do this on the pos side of the brake wire cuase the neg side may still get ground somewhere when it gets interupted via relay.

I think that is what happend, The would only dim slightly, instead of blinking but with the break lever pulled it worked nicely...
