Thanks I need a 12vdc N.C splid state relay that can handle 5 amps goinh through the contacts. What I want to do is sent 12vdc trough the momentary open switch and put it on the pos of the relay coil and ground the other end of the coil .I then want to run the ignition through the contacts of the relay so when I push the momentaty switch it will energize the relay open the contacts and cut off the ignition. I dont think anyone makes a solid state relay that is 12vdc and has n.c. contacts .I am afraid to put a mechanicle relay in this system because of vibration .I dont want the circuit to open while I am riding the bike .this relay will be in the head light shell .do you have any ideas  jim

I am amazed .I just cant belive that there is not a 12 volt DC relay with a N.C contact that is not Solid state or like it .I have the siplest ckt in the world .The only thing is it has to be moisture proof N.C and  will not under any curcumstances bounce rattle or vibrate open when not energized.I have a momentery open switch .I want to push the switch thus energizing the relay and opening the ckt .(5 to 10 amps) .I choose a Solid state relay because of my 2 conditions ! it will be in the headlight of a motorcycle( vibration) and 2 its wet in there can any one help  Jim
