I have a 2006 Cobalt and am installing a dei 562T keyless entry/remote start and power locks. I have the commando central locking system with the 5-wire actuators. I was wondering is it possible to make it have progessive door locks? Thank you

If the Commando system you are installing offers priority unlocking through their control module then yes. However most of those systems that have a 5-wire setup are considered 'central-locking'. This means the system monitors the position of at least one of the actuators, so if you unlock that actuator the others will unlock. This kind of puts a kink into trying to do driver's priority unlocking. What is the exact model of the Commando system? A link to the install manual might help too. With that information some one here may be able to offer a solid suggestion on how to achieve what you would like to do.

It is the commando P2DLK. The link is http://www.commandoalarms.com/itm10005.htm. Is there anyway to configure it at all? Thanks for all the help.

It's possible...you'd just have to get a power lock switch for the driver's door and use that instead of the one that's built into the actuator.

The only wires from the driver's door actuator that you'd hook up to the locking module would be the blue and green motor leads.  The other 3 wires would go to the separate switch in the door.

Also you'd need a relay to have the 562T control the doorlock motor directly.

Do you need to add a switch in the door? Also why do you need a relay?

Ignition - Yellow (+)

Accessory - Brown (+)

Start  -  the ACC wire. the ACC must come on before ignition or if ignition is on, once ACC drops, the car will start. you will need 2 relays to do this because you DEI powers acc before ignition.

Relay # 1

85 - Constant 12volts
86 - Status ouput (ground out while running)
87 - high current 12volts constant
87a - Unused
30 - to second relay terminal 30
place diode 1N4004 across terminal 85 and 86. White band to 85

Relay # 2

85 - ground
86 - Start wire from remote start (+)
87 - Unused
87a - to ACC wire (Brown)
30 - to first relay terminal 30
place diode 1N4004 across terminal 85 and 86. White band to 86

In re: to my statement above and your question, you could mount the power lock switch in the console or anywhere you feel like really, I just was thinking door because the factory p/l switch on Cobalts is there.

The relay for the priority unlock is necessary because you'd be hooking directly into the motor lead.  Since the motor leads rest at ground, if you hooked up say, the (+) blue small gauge lock wire from the 562T directly to it you'd short circuit it and probably damage the 562T's brain. You have to cut the wire and hook it up with a relay.

You can wire the relay as follows:

30-Motor side of cut unlock motor lead
87a-locking module side of cut unlock motor lead
87, 86 - 12v+ constant fused
85 - blue (-) unlock output from 562T
