You should have your multimeter set to check DC volts.

Make sure the black lead is secured to ground.

Probe the suspected 'starter' wire with the red lead of the meter. The wire should go to 12 volts with the ignition in the cranking position and read nothing in any other position.

Obviously you probably can't hold the key in the crank position, but if the wire goes to the ignition switch, is steady 0 volts in every other position, and goes to any other voltage during cranking, that's your 'starter' wire.

I have blue/white as the correct color in my info as well, so you may want to just recheck that one. Also, does this vehicle have a transponder and are you using a bypass? I've never seen a Super Duty with one but if you put the key in the ignition(don't turn it, just let it sit there) and activate the remote start what happens?

I left the keys on,just in case but i think there is no transponder. when tried to remote start the dash panel iluminates and all the gagues work, you can hear the relay cliking but nothing also can hear the diesel pump turning on. Thanks

There's definitely not a transponder since putting the key in the ignition doesn't change anything.

Did you install a starter interrupt relay, and if so, which side of the relay is the purple 'start' output from the remote start relay bank connected? It has to be on the starter motor side for it to work - if it's towards the ignition switch then the relay will interfere.

That may explain the problem if the relays are clicking but it's not cranking.

theres a blue/gray in the ign harness that is the key sense wire make sure you have it hooked up to the starter. if it has pats then there will be a ring with a green harness plugged into it around the ignition where you put in the key.

Keysence (if needed) would be connected to the ground while running. Its (POS)+ so use a relay to change polarity.

Myself, I would be real supprised to see this as your problem. Start the truck with the key, and try and take over with the remote start and remove the key. if it runs, and you have NOT

hooked up key sence.... this isn't the problem. Test the starter output from the R/S. If there is a starter kill relay installed, test on the OTHER side of the relay as well.

You have both accessories powered...correct. Without second accs. the glow plugs will not heat. You have the correct WHITE/ blue for starter.... correct. Use your meter to test.
