newbie, 96 mazda 626, keyless

Hi, I have bought a keyless entry system on ebay for my 96 mazda 626. I fell for the "easy fit!" "anyone can do it!" stuff and now feel out of my depth and silly. The 'instructions' were actually just a cryptic wiring diagram in mangled English making reference to negative triggers and positive triggers. How do I know what kind of trigger I have? :-) All of the wiring diagrams I've looked up on the net have mentioned that for my Mazda 626 I need to add an actuator to the driver's door. Actually, I don't think I do. I've tested locking the car from the passenger door and all locks work. So basically, any help on where I go from here would be MUCH appreciated. I can scan the 'instructions' I got but I'd love some specific help - where things are, what type of wire taps I should use, where I should fit the damn thing... And if it's even as complicated as it's made out! I've read on other forums I need only to connect ground, and to splice into the drivers footwell two wires coming from the driver's door harness! I don't have a lock/unlock button on the door - but why would I need an actuator when that door already has an actuator in it? Bear in mind this is a European car so may be different to the car you're thinking of. Unfortunately your diagram is pitched over my head. Basically I have a control box with a whole load of wires coming out of it. I know that I have to splice these into existing wires but I don't know how to get at these wires etc...
