I am installing an HKS Turbo Timer (type 1) on my wife's 04 A4 1.8t. I have searched and found wiring info saying to use the injectors or ignition coil signal wire. Using either an injector or signal wire on a coil pak it only reads 1/3 of the actual RPM. Is there another source, perhaps on the back of the gauge cluster, that I can get a signal?

As I said, I tried that already. Off the fuel injector, it is only reading 1/3 rpm.

That should be adequate, if not check pins on engine management, one will be tach.

Does anyone have the ecu pinout? That would help greatly.
