I have just installed the DEI 530T in my 2001 Chevy Silverado. Hooked it up to a Viper 5900 alarm. I have the RED / White wire going to the RED / White from of the viper. I also have the orange ground when armed hooked up to the 530T and it is diode isolated. The windows vent and go down all the way with the remote. The windows also roll up when armed. But when I remote start the vehicle the windows will roll up even when the system is not armed. I have tried everything to fix this. I don't want the windows to go up when I remote start the truck. The ground when armed of the viper isn't hooked up to anything else. Has anyone else heard of this problem? I need help in fixing this. Thanks.

The orange and gray wires control the window up function. Tell us all the wires connected to either or both of these.

The orange is a "validity" input meaning that as long as it sees ground, the window closes. The instant ground is removed, the window stops no matter what it's postion might be.

While the window is rolling up, the gray sends a ground out. If you connect the orange and gray together, a single one second ground pulse will roll the windows until fully closed.

I have only the orange connected to the ground when armed(H1/12 Orange viper 5900)The gray wire is not connected.
I have the windows rolling up without any problems. I don't think the windows are suppose to roll up when I remote start the truck.
Thanks for your help!

Yes it's supposed to roll up when started.

Ah. Thanks. Is there anyway to change that? I don't like the windows to roll up when I remote start. I guess I could always disconnect the orange wire but I like the windows to close when I arm the system. Oh well. Thanks!

How about if you use the blue status wire from the XCRS relay pack to drive a relay which opens the orange wire of the 530T?

After you've done that, connect an aux channel to trigger the orange so you can roll up the window at demand. (just in case it starts to snow after you've remote started 530t remote start, 01 silverado -- posted image. )

I think I am just going to connect the orange of the 530T to another Aux channel.
Now I am having another problem with the module. The 20A fuse of the 530T keeps blowing when I roll up the windows. I searched on these forums and some people have said to look at what size fuses the power windows use. My truck uses 25A fuses for the power windows. If I replace the fuse of the 530T to 25A will it damage the module?

If you don't want the windows to roll up when remote starting, go into the programming menu, and just turn "anti-grind" to off.
Anti grind is a feature that makes a ground on the orange wire anytime the remote starter is on.
This is to turn on the starter kill relay, so that when you insert the key to take over and drive away, even if you move the key all the way forward to the Start position, you can't grind the truck's starter motor.
So, with this feature turned off, your windows will work the way you want, but you'll have to be careful to only move the key to the Run position before stepping on the brake and driving away.
About your fuse, I don't know.
Maybe a 20-amp self resetting circuit breaker? They sell small circuit breakers (at the auto parts store) that are the same size/shape as a fuse, so it would be very easy for you.
