Hi

Dont knwo if you can help or not, I am an experienced car alarm engineer and have fitted Intellistart before but only on Automatic. I have gone to fit it to a manual car - nissan silvia, over the weekend and have encountered problems. it is fitted with an avantguard 5.5, alarm is in and working fine, the intellistart works fine if it is wired up in automatic mode but if you take the GREEN/ black wire off the earth so its in manual mode it doesnt work.  the indicators flash once when you try to activate it. it is all wired up correctly. the manual is a little bit vague and doesnt explain the MK2 remotes very well. does anyone know the correct procedure to activate it - which button etc? any ideas

thanks alot

Disconnect BLACK/ green from ground, engine running (blue green from I/Start to handbrake switch) handbrake on gear in neutral, press G5 twice, then**, you should hear a couple of faint relay clicks. On removing key engine should still be running. Exit car and arm the alarm, it should shut down engine. You can then use the R/S except when full (not warn away) alarm has triggered. This is a classic case of examining the parts and looking for the credit sized card which tells you these things or, RTFM especially the part that tells what the different buttons do on the remote.
