Hey everybody.

I just put a Viper 5301 on an 04' Impala.  Everything works fine, but I can't program any options with the valet switch.  It goes into the menus fine and I can change the options, but as soon as I exit the menu it goes back to whatever it was before.  I have an older Bitwriter so I bought the newer chip with software V 2.6 on it from Amazon.  It works on all of my Vipers on my other vehicles, but will get stuck for hours on "reading from unit" screen on the 5301.  Any ideas???  I'm leaning towards bad brain, but not sure.

Unfortunately I'm not in the stereo biz anymore.  I got out about 6 years ago, but every winter about 5 friends need a remote start done and seeing as how that was my specialty, I have a hard time refusing.
