Hey everyone,
I just recently got a Remote Starter for my car (92 Eagle Talon) that i want to install for the winter. I got the wiring diagram for my car and followed everything, it was pretty much straight through. The problem that i'm having is when i remove the key from the ignition, the cluster lights and parking lights stay on. In order for me to have them turned off i have to disconnect the main harness. I checked all the wiring and they are connected they way their supposed to be, I've checked 100 times and and can't figure it out.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Splex.

looks like you tagged the wrong ignition wire. if the unit does not see an ignition 12v, the unit will not turn off or know if you inserted a key or not. i know because i have installed 3 of them, just did one today for a 05 kia sedona. also make sure you got the door trigger wire as well. it just warms if you left a door open but its nice to have.

btw it also happens when you have a hood pin that is always on ground. make sure the hood pin isnt touching any metal parts of the chassis or frame in the engine bay.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the replys.
Well i tested all the wiring on the ignition harness. The yellow wire (ignition) only works when i turn the car to the "on" position and crank position. Anything before that give no power. Im guess that how the ignition wire is suppose to work? Also i double checked the hood pin it is away from other metal parts as well. I exchanged the unit cause i thought maybe it could of been a defect maybe that could be a problem as well?
