I have found out that the fact. disarm wire color is a dark GREEN/ purple.I have probed all of the dark green wires and have found no wire of sort.GM autos tell you the color of wires and going to a modeul, for the disarm wire. Has ford got a disarm moduel that the wires run to for I can;t seem to find the wire with a -neg. volt. the manual that came with the remotestarter says that the -neg. will show with the key in the door will show -neg. when the key is turned to the unlock position. Would there be any other way to find this wire so that the remote starter will work? Thank You rheinz2

What are you installing? You didn't tell us.

Did you look in the harness coming from the door? If it's not there, take off the door panel & look for the dark gree/purple wire inside the door. It should be there. Go right to the door lock cylinder & follow it from there. But before you do that make sure the factory alarm is getting set off by your remote start. Sometimes simply energizing the ignition disables the factory alarm. Sometimes using the aftermarket alarm/remote start to unlock doors will disarm factory alarm.

Good Enough Isn't!

I am pretty sure the factory disarm is the same wire are the door unlock wire, pink/light green. Arm is pink / YELLOW, which is also the lock wire. Both can be found at the driver's kick panel and they switch positive and not negative.
