no cold start even with key

I have looked through past posts and have come close but this may be a twist.. 88 Caravan remote starter, locks and alarm. no manufacturer cpu reprogramming. unit has worked from from its initial install years ago. first cold snap the car would not start with key or remote. fuel pump does not come on but engine will crank (with key or remote) will not restart unless the engine has been running 30+min and warm dodge cpu and factory components check ok. Works fine when warm.. disconnecting to reset dodge cpu has no effect.. however.... disconnect either battery cable and the car starts fine. of course the alarm goes off unless in valet mode.. valet mode has no effect acts the same.. cold no start disconnect battery cable starts..

I thank it might be the car alarm thank that it is getting stolen. Anti-theft device. Had the same problem with a Lincoln town car. I just unhooked it and took it to the dealer but that does not help you (with the dealer part).
