remote start antigrind

HI Everyone,

Iam a newbie here and this is my first post ,

I have a Remote Start Alarm system that I need to hookup to my Car which has a Immobiliser Output or rather a -ve output , I was thinking of using this

-ve Output to wireup the Antigrind feature as the Alarm doesnt have the Antigrind option instead of the Immobiliser feature..would this possible?

Below are the connections as per my Understanding for the Immobiliser wiring ..

85 - IMMOBILIZER output from alarm (-) or GROUND WHEN ARMED.

86 - ignition 87- N/C87a - starter wire key side30 - starter Solenoid

Now instead of the above wiring method if I modify as shown below..

85 - IMMOBILIZER output from alarm (-) or GROUND WHEN ARMED.

86 - ignition

87- N/C

87a - starter wire key side

30 - Start Output from Alarm Module

Will this serve as an AntiGrind system?

Will I need a Quenching Diode between Pins 85 and 86 of the Relay as well?

AT 30, just join your start from alarm module to the starter wire, job done but yes "quenching" (nice term that's good, sounds nicer than back EMF suppression) diode is required especially if you put something else on the GWA wire like window closers.

That won't serve as anti grind howard, using the ground when armed wire will only serve as starter kill, don't get me wrong it will work but, it will require the alarm be armed when doing key takeover from remote start to prevent the starter grinding by accident, which really isn't plausible, you will have to use the ground while running output if the unit has one, wire just as the first diagram you have but replace the ground when armed with the ground while running. or you can diode isolate the inputs from the GWA and the GWR where it connects to the relay, bands facing towards control module.commit your way to jehovah and he will act in your behalf. psalms 37:5
