so i did one of these today viper 791xv install went smoothly except for the door locks. type c door locks, anyway, found that the driver's door was controlled directly from the switch, and the other three from a module inside the car under the driver dash, so i had to use four relays in total, two to drive the driver's door and two to drive the other three, i had to do it this way because anytime i hooked the driver's door along with the other three, the four would work, but when i used the rocker switch the fuse would blow. i have it working now, i just wanted to know if anyone else here encountered this and found an easier way than the four relays i used.

Astro shows the doors being negative BIM module. No notes of seperate wires for lock controls.

The drivers door is rev. polarity.

The U.S. version is straight (-) trigger. No relays needed.

So according to mr kartune, i would have to five wire the driver door and use the negative trigger for the other three, this thought did cross my mind but i was working without wiring schematics and i thought to myself that it would be strange to have two types of locking in one system, but i was wrong! 2005 subaru legacy -- posted image.. Seems the systems vary from place to place!

If you wanted progressive locks.... yes, this would be how to wire them!

But i didn't do progressive locks, the driver's door was controlled separately, i'm sure, because from the bim module i cut the actuator wires and the other three doors stopped working the driver's door continued to function as normal, or am i missing something mr kartune man? I don't do alot of scubies so i try to be extra careful when i do! thanks for your info so far it's appreciated!

Is the car left or right hand drive? Did it have a factory alarm? If you added relays to the (un)lock motor wires you are probably not arming and disarming the factory alarm.
Every car that has progressive locks is going to have separate outputs for the drivers door and the passenger doors at the fuse box. They need to be separated somewhere, right? When you cut one of the unlock motor wires (for example: drivers door) the other circuit (for example: passenger doors) will continue to work because that circuit has not been interrupted.
Did you find the wires at the BIM that the tech sheet says should have been the lock and unlock wires or the arm and disarm wires? I can't remember, but you may have had to turn the key in the door to test them instead of using the switch on the door.
