Hi, I'm new to the forum and have surfed around for a potential answer to some issues I have found after having a Viper 5901 installed.
2 issues
Issue 1: Arming alarm
Summary: After arming the alarm the 2-way pager reports that a door is open. This eventually clears after the dome light goes out.
Issue 2: Remote Start causes alarm to go off after timeout
Summary: When using remote start feature, after the 10 minute duration times out and shuts off the motor, power remains as if key is in ON position. Radio functions and therefore causes glass breakage sensor to trip and alarm goes off.
Thanks to anyone who provides useful feedback. This is my first post and look forward to posting more when I begin to upgrade the stereo system.

The vehicle leaves the radio on until you open the door.  There is a wire that you need to connect to a relay and have it pulse the door trigger wire to trick the truck's computer to think you opened the door.  Maybe this bump to the top will catch the eyes of one of our hands on guys that can tell you which wire of the alarm you need to connect to the relay.

Is this the wire you used for door trigger?

Trigger with pulse after shut down......

You can use the "all door triger" or the drivers pin wire.

Break it with a relay. The doors on this truck are low voltage (NOT 12 volts) when opened, and ground when closed.

Put the BCM side of the wire on pin 87a of the relay, and the pin side on 30, and nothing on 87.

12 volts on 86, and the trigger from the alarm on 85. this should turn off any DRL's and turn off the radio.

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure the installer didn't put a relay in as you describe. Any thoughts on how to fix arming the alarm?

The installer must have used the dome light wire! There are two options, connect the wire above that mr.idiot posted, or you can program the door trigger error off a clever little feature from dei!
