i am installing a viper 5701 in a 2001 lexus rx300. I am using a bypasskit TOYDL dock locks work but when i try to remote start it justs cranks, if i put the key in the ign the blinking security light on the dash stops blinking and the remote start works. I have a wire tied into the keysense (blue w/silver dots) the there are 2 other wires that sense the key and makes the alarm light turn off. Do i need a different bypass? Thanks for the help

the TOYDL only does disarm, arm, lock, unlock and trunk. you need an actaully transponder bypass.

i personally like using the fortin pieces, so a KEY-OVERIDE-ALL would work well. of if you want to save some money and have 3 keys to the car 2 master and 1 valet, use a key-in-box method.

is there a bypass out there that does both door locks and transponder or am i going to have to buy the PKT and add it into what i have installed already. I have used a few xk01 on gm's and they do everything and then some but can't seem to find anything like that for the rx300?

unfortunatly there is nothing that integrates door locks, and transponder bypass for this vehicle. you will end up buying a pkt or pkall to finish off the installation. for my own 09 accord, i had to purchase 2 modules as well. one for doorlocks/triggers and one for immobilizer. Hope this helps!

Also, if you can find an old Toyota or Ford key, you can program it to the Lexus using the "pedal dance" method with the brake and gas pedals.
Then you could put the key in a regular cheap universal bypass box.
My sister has a '99 RX300 and I'm pretty sure it has an older-style Toyota key in there for the bypass.
