I am installing a compustar r/s with a key in the box for bypass.I was able to program the new key for the bhypass but one of the original keys won't work now and I can't get it to program.anyways I had the remote start working so I put everything back together when I tied to remote start it-it cranked but didn't start so I tried to start it with the key and never fully starts,(it dies as soon as you release the key)if you give it gas with the pedal for a second or two it will stay running.

well after letting the car sit for a while it started with the key(weird),I found the key bypass box had loose soldier joints on the plug so i switched the box and it now remote starts.I still need to know how to program a key.

You don't need to program the universal bypass module. It uses an valid key to induce the signal into the key cylinder so no programming needed.
