Hello everyone!!! i search for this for quite awhile and did not find anything on it.

I just purchased a 2001 Chevy Suburban with a Code Alarm F50/55 installed on it. When I try to use the remote start feature everything turns on, head lights, fuel pump heating and or air, but the starter will not engauge. I have checked the hood and brake switch to see if that was the issue, but no luck. It will stay in this like this for about thirty seconds or so and then shut off. I have installed tons of audio equipment  and alarms in the past but no remote starters. So I am some what inclined on the alarm side. Any thoughts???

Thanks,

Billy

notice any flashing lights on the dash that say security?

if so the passlock system isnt being bypassed properly.

Its time to yank everything out to look for a small box (size of cig box) that should be the bypass module, or look for a relay close to the ignition switch.

when i hold both buttons down and it goes into the remote start mode the battery symbol flashes in the message center box. if i just unlock the truck and open the door, then yes the security symbol will flash.

also, yes there is a module wired into a inline fuse and thens goes into the kick panel.

Thanks...
