I want to buy an alarm for my 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab.  (4.7, automatic)  What is a good alarm on the market now?  I have about $400 to spend.  I installed a viper 350HV in my nissan.  Looking for something with a little more bells and wistles.  Thanks for the input.

you can get a 2way pager for around 300-350. i use compustar stuff and love them.

or a basic compustar alarm is 150

what exactly do you consider bells and whistles? compustar like tedmond said is a good product. viper or clifford from DEI also have alot of options. also are you looking for just an alarm or do you want remote start too. i have the same truck and my old clifford rsx3.5 works well for me. threw in a couple 530ts for window control and i still have a few open channels to some more if i want to

if you want to jump from the 350hv up to a 5701, the intallation is far more difficult, but not impossible with the patience and knowledge.

DEI stuff isnt DIY friendly if you have only done one or 2 systems.

i have dont a hand full and i dont like them, but tahts just my preferance.
