Okay, here’s the deal. I got a Hua Tai alarm. Yes, straight from China but it was cheap and it’s two way so I got it. Anyways, I have a 2000 Mustang 3.8L and I having a bit of problems. First, for some reason I can’t get the door triggers and trunk release/trigger (also I think) to work. It’s like it doesn’t notice it’s opened or closed. Also, it doesn’t pick up that the key is in and on. Here’s a list of all the wires I have hooked up to the alarm (and all the wires on the alarm). I find it lacking some wires that other alarms have but…oh well?
First 13 pin connector to the alarm:
Central Door Lock wiring (first 6 wires):
          Orange (NC) – N/A
White (COM) – Hooked to Mustang Light Green at Kick
Yellow (NO) – Hooked to Mustang Yellow at Ign
          ORANGE / Black (NC) – N/A
WHITE/ Black (COM) – Hooked to Mustang Violet at Kick
Yellow/Black (NO) – Hooked to Mustang Light Green at Kick
Black (Ground) – grounded to frame
Grey/Red (Trunk) – I thought Pink/Green at Kick?
Red (+12V) – Yellow at Ign
Pink (Siren) – Hooked to siren and siren grounded to frame.
Green (Trunks w./Neg. Trigger) – I thought BROWN / White at Kick.
Brown (Turn Signal Light) – Brown at Kick
Brown (Turn Signal Light) – Brown at Kick
Second 2 pin connector:
LED for alarm
Third 3 pin connector:
Ultrasonic sensor (optional)
Fourth 3 pin connector:
Shock Sensor
Fifth 5 pin connector:
Red (Neg. Hood Trigger) – N/A …don’t have a hood trigger.
Blue (Door Pin/Door Trigger) – I thought Yellow/Black and Gray/Red at Kick with diodes (cathodes facing alarm).
Yellow (No idea..) – It has a diagram of a relay with the yellow wire connecting
to 85 which coils to 86. 87A is hooked to 86 and to +12V and to the 30 wire with an X separates the line. 30 connects to the wire of 86/87A/12V and to a High Voltage Coil. I will try to draw this thing at the bottom.
White (ACC) – RED / Green at the Ign
Orange ( Foot Brake Switch) – It connects to the RED / Green at Brake… This one
is weird too…It has the orange wire going to a dot…then from the dot it has a line that has a circle with an X in it and from there, it goes to ground. Also from the dot, it goes to the Foot brake Switch (+12V). So I just hooked it up to the RED / Green wire.
Then it has an override switch and communication module hook up.
It has four jumped.
1)     Power Door Lock/Vauum Door Lock (its on 1)
2)     Engine Dis/Engine Enable (Its on 2)
3)     Arming Reminder On/Off (Its on On but I think they confused this with auto arming).
4)     –Door Trigger/+Door Trigger (Its on 2)
Please help!

  • First off your one wire for the door locks is not corerct. Both NO wire must be 12 volts + ( Yellow/Black (NO) – Hooked to Mustang Light Green at Kick  )  This wire should be 12 volts + as well as the YELLOW wire that you have going to Yellow (NO) – Hooked to Mustang Yellow at Ign .
  • TRUNK/HATCH PIN-------BROWN / white---------- (-) Trigger wire found at the drivers kick panel or at the GEM module located above the drivers kick panel to the drivers side of the steering column. Make sure of the polarity of this wire on the alarm and that it is a (-) trigger system input. Otherwise you will need a relay to reverse the polarity.
  • TRNK/HTCH RELEASE-----------------purple / YELLOW---------------|+ Input | drivers kick panel. This will require a (+) output from the alarm to activate the trunk release.
  • The hood you may need as some systems require you to have the hood open and then closed for programming of the remote or certain options on the alarm system. If this wire does not see ground the system will not operate properly.
  • Yellow wire in 5 PIN connector sounds like the starter disable, but the way you described it is confusing. Please send a pic if possible.
  • Can you scan the wiring diagram for this unit and send it to me and i'll see if I can help you out more on this. Send diagram to: techsupport@velocitymotorsport.com
