can i bypass alarm remote w/ a switch?

The tour bus for my current job has a Viper 350HV installed on it which works as it should but my problem is that 18 people go in and out of this bus while we are on tour. We do not have a remote control for each person, instead what we did was rewire one of the original remotes to a keypad. You press 2 keys at the same time and you can arm or disarm the alarm. Works, great but with 18 people using the bus so ofter we must change the keypad so often because out 2 secret numbers start to wear off. What I would like to do is hard wire a key switch to act as the alarm's remote (lock position would arm the alarm and when you turn the key to unlock it disarms the alarm). Is there any way I can bypass the remote control and hard wire a key switch to the alarm mother board? Any suggestions are much appreciated.peace out, cub scout!

Just like your keypad anything can be done. Curious why 18 people need to be able to arm and disarm the bus individually and with that many gaining access to the bus why lock it down anyway.

We bounce around from hotel to hotel a bit, so we generally keep most of our belongings on the bus. We also have a small office in it.peace out, cub scout!

The correct way would be to go into the RF part of the alarm's board and change the signal via a switch but with human nature someone may forget or a thief would break in and find the switch. Frankly it would be easier for one person to hold the remote then give it to anyone who needs to use it. Also switching the main power or ground to the alarm is surely going to mess up the alarm. Also does that mean with 18 people the vehicle is left unlocked?

The bus is storage, transportation, mobile office, etc for 18 guys that travel around in it or in another company vehicle. Having one person to hold the remote is no practical at all for us. As far as the "switch" i am talking about, I would want to wire it so the key to lock and unlock the bus would also simultaneously arm and disarm the alarm. Easiest thing to do would take out your keypad and replace it with the key switch. The better thing to do would be to install a commerical building access system on the bus. That way everyone would have their own unique card/key and access would be monitored and could be denied without having to change locks or two button codes.
