has anyone used this combination yet?The reason I'm asking is the instructions mention using a key in a box for lower current draw,that if the vehicle isn't started for a few days the battery might be dead.Has anyone had battery issues without using the key in the box?

We do it all the time. The impala is not the type of car that your average customer will let sit for long periods of time. If it were a vette, I would think twice. We've literally done hundreds without one coming back (that I know of).
