I just finished installing the 1601 alarm in my 1986 chevy truck and it works great. Now I am trying to install the remote start but can't seem to get it to work. When I press the remote start button the system clicks and then a couple seconds later the parklights flash 4 times which means transmitter shutdown. I only have a quick reference install guide and am not sure if there even is an install guide for this. Anyhow here are my wiring connections and maybe someone can help me.
       Remote start- H3
Remote start side--------------Car side
Pink ignition 1----------------Pink ignition
RED / white fused ignition 2-----nothing
Orange accessory output--------Orange accessory
Violet start output------------Purple starter car side
Green starter input------------Purple starter key side
Red fused ignition 1 input-----Constant 12 volts
Pink/white ignition 2 ---------nothing
Pink/black flex relay input----nothing
RED / black fused accessory/
starter input-----------------Constant 12 volts
There are some wires on the H2 harness that say (-)status output, (-)ignition, (-)starter, and (-)accessory, where do those go?
I have the nuetral safety switch on and the BLACK/ white wire grounded, the remote start is in auto trans mode, and i learned the tach but it still won't work. Any ideas on what is wrong?

You have to power  all three RED / RED / WHITE/ RED / black wires.

I hooked up all three wires and I got it to crank but the ignition didn't come on. The battery was also low so the engine didn't start. I turned off the remote start and then I charged the battery and now when I press remote start the lights flash and it clicks once but doesn't do the other clicks it normally does. I don't remember disconnecting any wires so I don't know what the problem is.
On the main harness there is a wire that says remote start activation, where is this supposed to go?

Also now the orange accessory wire from the remote start is always hot and the other two ignition wires from the remote start don't get power even after pressing the button. What would cause this? I don't think anything could have been fried from the battery charger without the fuses blowing.
