I am having a problem with the remote start in my 1999 Chevy surburban. Sometimes the vehicle will remote start, but sometimes it won't. And the security light will start to flash, and I am not able to start the car until it turns off. The alarm is a crime guard 850. I hooked it up according to the directions, called crimeguard tech and they said that the alarm is working fine. Has anyone had any problems like this regarding the remote start.

you need a bypass unit for the passlock II security, I've used the "pldata" several time with good results, there are a varity of other brands which do the same job.
