2007 vw jetta viper 5901 and canmax400dei

I recently bought the Viper 5901 and Canmax400DEI module to install into my 2007 VW GLI. I am having a problem getting the module to show any color other than red. I flashed the module to the newest firmware, and after trying for a few days, flashed it to an older file of the same firmware, 400.VW01_0_25. I have the CAN wires connected ORANGE / brown, ORANGE / green, and all wires hooked according to the install manual I downloaded from Xpresskit website. I have tried many things including turning ignition on and off, pushing the button, starting car, pushing button. If anyone has any advice, please help me.

Wires are hooked up like this: Canmax: ORANGE / Green to ORANGE / Green ORANGE / Brown to ORANGE / Brown Pink/White to White on 5901 Brain(H1/11) Gray to Ground Gray/Black to BLACK/ White on 5901 Brain(H2/18) 5901 Brain: from H1: Red to 12v Black to Ground From H3(Remote Start): Pink(H3/1) to Black RED / White(H3/2) Orange(H3/3) None Violet(H3/4) to RED / Black Green(H3/5) to RED / Black Red(H3/6) to 12v RED / Black(H3/9) to 12v

Here is the Viper 5901 Wiring Chart for reference. And the instructions from the Canmax400DEI If it helps at all, when I have the Canmax400 docked, the brain clicks when I hit lock and unlock, but not docked, it doesn't. The car locks do nothing.

Still need help with this. Should my Canmax program with just having power and Can wires hooked up? If so, then I should of been able to program it already. What are the chances of me having a dud Canmax? I am able to flash it alright using a Xkloader2 that I bought.

Alright, turns out that I had a bad Canmax, I ordered another one and it worked right away. Now I'm having trouble with the Remote starting. The car cranks for a half a second, sounds like it's starting but then immediately turns itself off. I have the key in the ignition. Any ideas?
