Hey everyone,

I installed the avitail 4103LX remote start into my element over the weekend and everything starts up ok so no issues with that part of it, the issue im having is with the light flash.

I hooked the Light flash to the positive parking light wire as specified in the tech sheet but no light flash. The manual states that if the vehicles lparking lamp system draws more than 10 amps to use a relay but how can I check how many amps the system draws (god I realize how moronic I sound asking this now that I wrote it out! lol) the installation guide also specifies that you can switch the jumper to negative and wire it directly to the negative parking light wire so my question is, since it is not working, should I try a relay on the positive connection or should I change the jumper and hook it to the negative side.

Suggestions?

Thanks in Advance

parking light wire is RED / YELLOW (+) at the fuse box right below the steering column. The plug is green towards the right at the bottom of the fuse box.
if you want negative its BLUE (-) at the alarm module green connector towards the firewall.
are you testing the wire? and did you put the fuse under the little cover to determine pos or neg polarity?

That is a diffrent wire color and location than the tech sheet states. The tech sheet says that the + parking light wire is located in the driver side kick panel and is RED / black. yes, I tested the wire and have 12v when I turn the parking lights on. I will probe at the location that you gave and test.

the - you specified is the same as it is listed on the tech sheet.

Thank you for your reply!
