Hi guys,
Trying to help my father-in-law with a remote start install on his 2010 Toyota Matrix. We have recently realized about the key transponder/immobilizer and will have to track down a bypass module to make it all work.
What has me a bit thrown off in my research, is the fact that it is a 2010 Matrix but doesn't have a "G" on the key. The only install information I can find for the bypass modules are for 2010's with the "G" on the key. So what instructions should I follow?
Also, do I need to hook up the '2nd ignition' wire? The remote start he bought only has one '5th relay' to allow for activation of a '2nd starter wire' (which from my research indicates that the Matrix requires) OR a '2nd ignition'. Do I need to figure out a way to activate the '2nd ignition' wire?
Thanks so much!

2nd. ignition:-
GWR via a 1N4004 diode*, band to R/S, to 85.
loop from your R/S ignition output to 86.
30amp fused 12v+ constant to 30.
87 to 2nd. ignition.
87a not used.
Sorry, I can't help you with the by-pass but Fortin and idatalink are Canadian companies, Google or contact them.
*The GWR wire also feeds the by-pass hence the diode before you branch off to the by-pass.

I like I data link myself I've done a couple new toyotas using idatalink modules with no issues and fairly easy installs.   Does the shaft (metal part) of you're key have a dot or a G stamped into it ? Dot is the 40 bit key and G is the 80 bit key. idatalink has modules for both
If i Can't Install it    I Don't need it   Joe
