Working on a 2001 Camry LE, 4 Cyl.  Does anyone have the color and location of the Read Window Defrost wire?? Perferably somewhere in the Drivers kick panel or door sill.

Here is info from Omega for the 2001 Camry :

        Rear Defrost     YELLOW /GREEN (-)     REAR DEFOGGER SWITCH

No extra info as to whether it is a pulse or latch, so please test to be sure.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Found that wire and I am going to test it. 

Having trouble with the power locks. Installing a Viper 5301 and can seem to get on the correct wires.  Tested the wires in the orange plug, 18 gauge Blue and Blue/White but can't seem to get it to work.  Any clues?  Never had this much difficulty with a type B lock system.

Disregard the lock/unlock issue. Defective Viper Unit.  Switched to a different brain and it works!

By the way,  The rear defrost wire is correct and is negative latching.

Looks like you have the correct door lock wires.  DEI confirms :

Power Lock Dark. Blue/White (-)      Orange plug bottom of fusebox 
Power Unlock          Dark. Blue (-)    Orange plug bottom of fusebox

To test, try this ( note from DEI )  :

The lock wires are about 18 gauge. They will test only by operating the key
in the passenger door lock cylinder, not the rocker switch on the door itself.

Late edit :  A Viper unit defective???   Impossible!  2001 camry rear defrost? -- posted image.

Been seeing a lot of bad Vipers recently on the forum.   I even had a Compustar FT6200 come back with a horn output that went dead after 2 years ...
