Anyone out there a Honda tech or familiar with the latest Honda OEM remote start systems? I'm not happy with the system at all, in that it turns off when I open the door, I can't open the doors with the keyfob, and I prefer the horn honk confirmation. I did discover that there are 6 switches which might offer me some options. They can be found on page 3 of this document: Install Instructions. The question is does anyone know if these can be changed? I'm specifically interested in the trunk/tailgate, smart entry, and horn options.
Does anyone know what these options do?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know exactly what each function does but according to the install sheet for Honda OEM remote starters (I have a 2009 Accord version), it states if any changes are made to the dip switches you have to disconnect the unit and then reconnect it for the changes to take effect.
Unfortunately it doesn't go into detail as to what each switch actually changes.
I've run into so many unhappy customers that get aftermarket systems because they don't realize how the OEM systems work and the installers or dealers don't give the customers too much info.

Thanks. It's even worse for me, since I've been installing and using aftermarket systems for years and know how badly I was ripped off by this OEM crap.
