Is the Directed DSM200 compatible with the hornet 564t? I know the hornet is an old unit but it is already installed in my 2008 Silverado and would like to add the smartphone features.

Unfortunately not. You would need a model of remote starter that either has the red D2D port or the 3-pin ESP port. The 564t has the port for the Bitwriter but won't support smartstart thru it.
