I am trying to figure out a way to use a Viper 5701 and retain the convenience features of the 2013 F-150. Since the vehicle has factory remote start, the climate control and seat cooling/heating come on depending on air temp. Also perimeter lighting is in play here.
Even with a DB-ALL in D2D I just don't see it working properly.
What about this? this seems possible..Take a factory fob apart and wire it to the outputs on the 5701, so in all actuality no DB-ALL will be needed because I will take all the components and hide them in the vehicle in a project box?
Am I making this too simple or too hard?

in theory it is possible. you would need a way to key the factory fob powered up because the battery will only last so long unless you dont mind periodically unhooking it to change the battery. also think about if you will be able to kill the remote start the same way as you would be with the viper alone. for example if you happen to accidentally remote start the truck and you wasnt to be able to shut it off without having to go to the truck.
how do you activate the remote start from the factory fob? is it just a button or is there a certain sequence you have to perform?

Yes there is a certain sequence. Lock>remote start twice.
I may have to use a PAC TR7 or a pulse timer. I did plan to step down 12v and use it to power the fob. May just use a USB cell phone 12v charger.
