hi guys ive just bought a car off someone and I cant seem to get the immobiliser off so I can start the car it starts sometimes ive took the ignition casing off and tried touching the fob on the wire loop thing whilst turning the key but no luck at all, is there any way to disarm the immobiliser altogether???

Just follow the wires under dash, starter and either ignition or fuel pump cut. Join the wires together and away you go, dead easy (for me).

its a golf cabriolet 1997. what wires do I join together its like a spaghetti down there wires everywhere lol

Wouldn't know till I saw; it your starter is RED / black, ignition black but call in a pro please.

ok m8 think that would be the wisest thing I could do lol, ive cracked it down to being a loose connection in the copper ring thing that was in the steering casing cause when I wiggle it about with the fob near it whilst trying to start it works sometimes any idea how they should be wired heres a link to my exact one and if you have time could you have a look please? http://www.southerncarsecurity.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=66

Can't give you that advice installers vary what they do and I haven't the time to explain what would be a 10 minute job for me.
