I have installed an Auto Start AS-2481TWS with Fortin EVO-CHRT4 on both a 2013 and 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. The 2013 works perfectly with zero issues. The 2014 will not start unless the doors are locked with the auto start key fob but then the factory alarm is triggered once the engine is started. If the doors are locked with the Dodge key fob then the engine does not attempt to start. The 2014 has a factory remote start option and I used the factory hood pin switch as the hood pin switch for the starter. Both of the modules, Fortin and Auto Start programmed properly according to the supplied manuals. Please let me know if you have had this issue and if so how you solved it. Thank you.

I just double checked the fortin EVO-CHRT4 and it does not have the ability to monitor the factory hood pin through data. I think I will install the supplied aftermarket hood pin switch and see if that will repair my issue.

Fortin has had some really slick interfaces over the years and in my experience they've been solid...this is really a data solution...with the t-harness you make like what six connections? I would try doing a reset on the Fortin piece and reprogram...this of course is if the solution Ted mentioned doesn't pan out...I have never hooked up to the factory hood switch on the caravan...way to easy to put my own in...good luck!

I reprogrammed the Fortin EVO ALL and everything is working properly now. I left the hood pin wire attached to the OEM hood switch. Thanks for all of the help.
