I am preparing to install a DEI 553T Hornet alarm in a 2002 Suburban.  I have the techsoft doc but have a few questions:

1) The techsoft lists ignition and second ignition wires to be hooked up.  The bulldog chart shows to hook up third ignition wire as well.  Should I?

2) Door locks: Techsoft again lists the following:

Power lock          lt blue         +        brown plug at BCM #1

Power unlock     white            +       brown plug at BCM #1

Lock motor           gray                      driver kick panel

unlock motor         tan                       driver kick panel

The 553T can handle type C locks without an interface.  With this info, it looks like I can just connect a positive trigger to the power lock/unlock wires?

Lastly, where would you suggest to bring the wire through.  The only simple place looks like the main harness grommet.  Any other suggestions?

Any other comments?

Thanks for your help!

This is what I have for the 2002 GMC. Compare the 3 wiring diagrams that you have and test all wires for proper circuit verification for proper wire colors and use the steering wheel boot to pass through the firwall.
