Hi everyone,
I recently bought a 2014 Toyota Venza XLE and I'm trying to restore the remote start function. I found that it has the 4x05 and DBALL2 modules already connected. I tried pressing the lock button on the factory key three times, but nothing happens. Both modules are powered.
Do I need an extra key or bypass for it to work?
How can I figure out what’s missing or not configured properly?
Any help or guidance would be appreciated!

There's no guarantee it was setup for remote start from the factory remote. If you can locate the antenna (check the top of the windshield), there should be an FCC ID number (just Google it) somewhere on the back (probably under the double sided tape). That should help you find what remotes are compatible and you could buy a cheap one way remote online to pair and see if it works.
