1997 Honda Civic, Compustar CM7000 Keyless Entry

Hi everyone. I have a 1997 Civic DX, interior converted to Civic EX without factory keyless entry. I have a Compustar CM7000 alarm system that I'd like to use for just keyless entry and no other security features. The install guide to the CM7000 states there's an unlock and a lock output. Both output a -250ma ground pulse. On the vehicle - the driver door switch is 3 pin; middle is ground (common), and the pins on either side of it are lock and unlock. Here's part of the schematic for the driver side lock switch (which also unlocks passenger) Would I be able to connect the ground outputs from the CM7000 directly to the vehicle lock and unlock wires at the switch without the need for additional relays? Also, the CM7000 is a remote start unit as well as security. I'm thinking I can only connect the constant 12v and ground for power without the need for accy, ignition, etc - any issues with this? Appreciate your help!

Yes, connecting to the switched wires should work just fine (with no need for accessory or ignition*). *The caveat is you need to temporarily pulse the ignition to program remotes (see below). Remember Compustar remotes do not come programmed, so once you connect constant and ground, be sure to do this. I usually plug in the antenna right out of the box and use a 12 volt drill battery with a few jumper wires to provide power so I can do this at the work bench before installing. You will need to pulse the ignition wire while doing this.
